Casa Mindela’s history has always been linked to agricultural activity, with its origins in the extensive estate of the Monastery of Vairãoof Vairão. The first existing property register dates back to 1741, in the person of Manuel Joudina, whose name may have given rise to the local toponymy. It is still in the possession of his direct descendants.
Casa Mindela is considered a property of high historical value and is listed as a building of public interest by the Vila do Conde City Council.
